I'm Patrick — a Sr. Solutions Architect at AWS working with commercial businesses in Southern California.

Most of my time goes to helping teams design cloud architectures that are secure, cost-efficient, and don't fall apart at 2am. The patterns I write about here come directly from that work — problems I see across customers, solutions that hold up in production, and the architectural decisions that matter more than most teams realize.
I write for builders — architects, engineers, and technical leads who are past the "getting started" tutorials and need patterns that work at scale.

My passion for technology started with a hand-me-down Tandy 2000 from my uncle. Some things don't change.
